Gateway to keep out the Zombies

Troop 130 went out to Camp Conlley Clark to participate in the Palmetto Council Spring Camporee. We had prepared for the weekend by practicing our lashings, studying our survival skills and preparing a recipe for the cooking challenge.

This weekend Troop 275 created different challenge stations that we needed to complete to show if we were ready for the zombie apocalypse. We had a few mistakes, like thinking a "gut man" trading card was one of the 10 Essentials for your survival kit, but over all, we did pretty well. I think our gateway was the best. All the other troops were inviting people into their campsites. We built a gate to keep the zombies out. And it really worked too.

We also excelled at the cooking challenge. We were given rice, cabbage and chicken to use in a dish. Nearly every other group made chicken rice wraps. With help from Mr. Vedhan and Mr. Ranga, we prepared an amazing Indian dish that really stood out. And we won!!!
