Crossover 2024

Once again we went to Chester State Park for a spring camp out. This time we invited the AOL scouts and their parents so we could do the cross over at the camp out. It was a great time. One parent even told his son, this was way better that cub scout camping. Our scouts made a really good brownie, candy cake for dessert in the Dutch Ovens for dinner before the ceremony.
The ceremony was really cool. The AOL scouts went with their leaders to the end of the bridge that crosses the lake. The Scoutmaster, Ms. Laura and the SPL, Jakob waited on this side of the lake for them to prepare to cross over. Then they walked in silence in the dark night back to where we had prepared a campfire for them.
After the ceremony, we also completed a flag retirement ceremony. We followed this all up with a fun campfire program.
