Night with the Knights

This campout is normally more for Cub Scouts, but with Covid, it hasn't happened for a couple of years, so we decided to go. Each year our baseball team, the Knights, has a night when scouts can come and sleep on the field. It is kind of fun.

So, we all went down and watched the game. Our team was losing most of the time. But we all had a chance to walk around and buy some snacks to pass the time. Some of the scouts had never been to a stadium before. They really liked the game. And of course, watching the fireworks go off downtown is always cool.

After the game, we went to the cars and got our tents. We were lucky, it had been raining during the day. Last time it rained, they didn't let the scouts sleep on the field. This time they went ahead with the campout. A lot of other troops and packs decided not to stay, so we had a lot of room on the field.

When the tents were set up, they show a movie on the big screens. It was Angels in the Outfield. I like it better when they show The Sandlot. They always pick a baseball movie. This was funny. Finally, they turn off the lights and we went to sleep. It was fun.
